Hello Qnappers,
At first thanks for reading my question.
I’ve got this Qnap 509 pro who doesn’t start up any more
I plug this in - nothing happens - yet a green motherboard light comes on.
i press powerbutton - 3 led light up for 0.5 sec and dissapear.
No beeps or any sound at all - no fan, just nothing.
Reset button on the front - no responce.
Reset button backside - same.
When i unplug the nas from the power and repeat the above no difference.
Any one a clue on this matter ??
Powersource deffective ???
If anyone has any pointers to solve this - i’ll wash his car with a smile !
Thanks for reading this.
Regards,
Aerd
There is only a reset button on the back of the NAS, not the front. Did you mean the power button ?
Swap the power brick, if that does not help then it’s not worth to investigate further (this NAS is 17+ years old)

Hello Dolbyman,
Thank you for your quick reply.
I mistook the data copy button for a reset button - oops.
This device uses a regular powercord (like the one used on a regular pc), so no powerbrick.
Maybe the internal power supply is the issue here - then again 17 year is a very long run so far.
Have a nice weekend !

That model has been around for quite a while!
If you are interested in upgrading, we do offer a trade-in program for older devices. We’d be happy to provide you with some special offers for a replacement unit. Thanks!
