AppCenter shows no apps to install and updates can’t be performed

Hello everyone,

I’ve set up a new TS-464 and transferred the configuration from the previous TS-431X2. So far everything is working, firmware updates are fine, so an internet connection is available. Access to data and user management, etc. is all good, too.

However, what isn’t working is the AppCenter. I only see the installed apps and can’t install any new apps or updates. I’ve already tried this troubleshooting solution, but without success.

How can I fix this?

Regards

Hi,

You switched from an ARM to an Intel NAS, right?

Have you tried step 3 of the guide (App Center configuration file is corrupted)?

What does your screen look like for all apps?

If that doesn’t work, I would manually reinstall the current QTS version and activate automatic app installation.

Hello,

thanks for your quick reply!
Yes, I tried that and received the following response:
“[~] # rm /etc/config/rssdoc/*
rm: ‘/etc/config/rssdoc/tou’ is a directory”

All apps look like this:

QTS is already up to date:

Did you log in as the actual “admin” via SSH?
If not, you should try using “sudo rm …”.

You need to download the firmware onto your PC and then reinstall it manually.

What does your system volume look like?

I downloaded and installed the firmware manually — no change.
Even running it with sudo didn’t change the error message.

Attached are screenshots of the volume:

You’re using a static volume?
I only see two folders in your shares.

What does the volume info show in the App Center?

This will probably end up being a ticket for support.

Yeah, actually I just need the “public” one.
I’m just going to reinitialize everything again. It’s not a problem yet since I’m still in the setup phase.
If the issue comes up again, I’ll contact support.

Thanks for your help!

Not a good idea. The default shared folders have special settings.
I always use custom shared folders.

I haven’t activated the “home” folders either.

Has the issue been resolved after reinitializing? Sometimes this can be caused by the browser cache, so you could also try a different browser or a private/incognito window. Thanks!

After reinitializing everything again, everything is now working. I also manually reconfigured everything myself and didn’t restore the backup from the old NAS.

Thanks so much for the help!

The issue is resolved.
