I have a TS-669L version 4.1.1.20141101 - which when I depress the reset button does nothing - does not beep etc. Anyone able to assist me on the password reset or worse case scenario factpry reset - as none works
Did you disable the button by any chance ?
You can partially eject all drives (cold!) and boot-up the NAS into setup, then when setup complains about no disks, pop all disks into the NAS and do a non destructive factory reset (custom shares need to be manually recreated, but data should stay intact).
This should reset your password to firmware default
What is the default system administrator password for my NAS? | QNAP (admin/admin on 4.1.1)
dolbyman - much appreciated for your prompt response. I cannot recall if I disabled the button in the settings. What access and how do I know when the NAS complains about no disks? My only view of the device is via the QNAP finder? I look forward to your reply
Just use qfinder or your router to find the dhcp address of the NAS and enter the web setup
dolbyman -noted as soon as I get into the office - I will follow your instructions and update you all.
