When formating an external disk, the formating is hanging over hours at 0%. There is no update at the UI. I do not know, if there is something going in the background, the disk is 6TB.

Should not take hours. Is this a new drive?
To further isolate the cause of the issue, we recommend connecting the device to a computer and attempting to format it using Windows.

It’s already done, after formatting with QNAP didn’t work. I formatted it to ext4 using GParted on Linux. The backup on QNAP with USB one-touch copy works flawlessly. As an additional note, the drive was already formatted as ext4 before. I wanted to use QNAP’s verification function, which is why I formatted it from there.
