[HDP 2.3.3.698] Stuck at "Updating progress 0%" – UI not loading

Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue with Hyper Data Protector (HDP) for PC/VM version 2.3.3.698 on my QNAP NAS.

After opening the application, it gets stuck on the screen showing:
“Updating progress… 0%” and does not proceed any further. It remains indefinitely on this screen and the UI never loads.

System details:

  • NAS model: TS-464

  • QTS version: 5.2.9.3410

  • CPU: Intel Celeron N5105 (up to 2.9 GHz, 4 cores / 4 threads)

  • RAM: 8 GB

What I’ve tried so far:

  • Restarted the NAS

  • Stopped/started the app from App Center

  • Cleared browser cache and tried different browsers

Has anyone encountered this issue before or found a solution?
Is it safe to remove and reinstall the application without losing existing backup data?

Could you please provide a screenshot of the “Updating progress 0%” screen you mentioned, and also confirm whether this is occurring on QTS or Windows? Thanks!
