Am fairly new. I read a lot of complicated stories about this. Is there a simple (qnap) solution
Hi @heinrichnl you can set the myQNAPcloud at your NAS and then go to the myQNAPcloud website to access your NAS vis myQNAPcloud link from outside.
You can refer to the steps in this tutorial.
This allows NAS mapping on my laptop?
On the go (as your title suggests),yes.
The actual request was kept too short, to exactly know your request.
He wants to map the drive. Only way I know to do that i WebDAV.
WebDAV exposes a QNAP service directly to WAN a horrible idea.
A VPN without portforwards (tailscale) or dedicated server (router/firewall/etc) would work fine to mount shares
You may also consider mounting SMB through QuWAN.
Thanks!
