My TS-873 has died and repair is to expensive compared to replacement of a new model.
I can migrate the harddisk volume but my cache I can’t because I used M.2 Sata in the old one and the new one only supports NVMe so the M.2 Sata does not get recognised.
I thought I would then replace the drives with to compatible NVMe but now I can not delete the old cache volume because it needs a admin password it says. The admin account was disabled and I log in with the user who is set to be admin but now it says the password is wrong.
How can I delete the old cache accelaration and make a new one since I could not turn it of in the old NAS because that one died on me.
Thank you for your response,
I am going to order that PCI-e card and see if that helps.
It is also a bit cheaper than using NVMe drives.
I will post when I have received the card and have tried it out.
Please open a support ticket and our Support Team will be happy to assist you. If possible, could you also provide a screenshot of your Storage Manager? Thanks!
Sorry for the delayed response but the PCIe card was the solution to the problem.
Put it in and was able to repair the SSD cache. Now just kept it that way because it was a cheaper solution to the problem than replacing the SSD’s for M.2 NVMe. Also did not have the password issue that I was getting with trying to delete the cache without those M.2 SATA SSD’s in there.
