My QNAP TS673A got real slow after upgrading firmware

Updated my QNAP TS-673A to firmware 5.2.5.3145 and after updating, I noticed that the data transfer rate between my computer and the NAS has dropped from about 100 MB/s to only 20 MB/s… I am using a single connection. The NAS is populated with all WD 4TB Red Plus drives. I rebooted the NAS a couple of times and it has not improved. Any ideas?

I reverted to the prior firmware update (5.2.4.3079)… And guess what? The data transfer rate went up to 110 MB/s.

There’s another thread about this issue. I have a TS-873A (so basically same as yours but with 2 more drive bays) and I have not seen this issue at all. I am using an Intel 10 Gbit SFP+ networking card, so maybe NIC choice has something to do with it.

A new firmware version has been released for the X73A and X73AU series. Please try updating to this new version to see if it resolves your issue.
Thank you!
