problem with qnap ts-216G

Just bought a TS-216G after my TS 230 died. Moved hard drives from ts 230 to ts-216g. Same drive positions.

Connected Lan and power . Powered on both drive leds are green , lan connector at back shows green and flashing orange. Lan led at front has been flashing for 4 hours. QFinder Pro on my Windows PC cannot find NAS. Looks like a lan tarffic with orange flashes but so long. Is this normal ?

Did you follow the migration procedure?

Especially the firmware update part, without drives, to avoid firmware mismatch

No, I didn’t start with no disks. Now started with no disks, the power off, insert disks power on. Has restarted and I can see my data thank goodness but I get this message when connecting with Qfinder Pro“ a system faliure has occurred. Check the following settings System Disk Partition.

MyCloudNas Update seems to be stuck at 20%. Looks plenty of space available only 36% full. Any thoughts.

If you are that happy about your data, make sure to create a backup strategy. A RAID is not a backup!

Since you didn’t follow the correct procedure and are now in an unstable state, you may want to contact QNAP support and get them to help you sort things out properly.
