My NAS TS-219P+ is set on RAID1. It has served me super! How can I to reset it now on to simple backup store for media files like 2 HDD backup store? No mirroring any more! (PC, Win11).
You need to take both disks out, erase them and start the NAS from scratch. Use whatever disk configuration you want.

Back up your data, turn off the NAS, remove disk 2, re-initialise the NAS. Set up Disk 1 as a thick volume, insert disk 2 and set it up a static volume. They will show up as 2 individual disks. This gives you the option to install apps and create shared folders on the disk(s) of your choice.
Whichever way you pick, make sure you have an external backup such as a USB HDD.
An old CAT1 device has no pools, just volumes without label function (legacy)

This is a Network Attached Storage device, there is no USB connectivity to control it.
