Agreed. I wouldn’t run SMB 1.0 unless you have to. I use it on my main NAS as that NAS is my server for my Sonos system. Since I have Sonos equipment that is like 15 years old and that Sonos deems is not acceptable for their S2 system, I am stuck on their legacy controller S1 system which requires SMB 1.0 to work. I’m not about to pony up a few thousand dollars to replace perfectly good audio equipment that will get replaced by the really ugly models Sonos now makes.
Speakers or amps?
Amps are way less ugly.

I have several Play 5s (I think that’s the model number), a Play 3, a number of Play 1s, an AMP, a Connect, the original soundbar and a sub. My system is so old that I had the Controller with it. The battery on that died so I’ve stopped using it. I think my AMP and Connect and some of my 5s are too old for the S2 system.
