[QPKG] sherpa: a mini-package-manager (CLI)

Temporary. I fixed it earlier today. The next stable release should resolve it.

Hi OneCD,

I seem to get this error while trying to update:

• This package action failed (and why):
download IncreaseTimeouts QPKG in 1 second (cache file ‘IncreaseTimeouts_250929.qpkg’ has incorrect checksum)

Hi mate, can you please reset your installation, then try again?
sherpa reset

reset did its thing but unfortunately the same error.

I recently narrowed the requirements for IncreaseTimeouts as it wasn’t able (or necessary) to run on all NAS models. It’s possible yours is one of those models.

Can you please uninstall IncreaseTimeouts, then check if it’s available for installation again?

sherpa rm increase
sherpa list installable

it’s available but I am just gonna run it without it, I guess. By the way, it’s an old one: TS-870

Can you please run an about report and post it here?

Update: we can finally migrate away from QPKGs with a leading ‘O’.

Today a new version of sabnzbd (4.5.4) was released and so I tried to update it by restarting the qpkg. Because that did not work, I tried to update it via Sherpa on the cli, but it shows the following error:

This package action was skipped (and why):
download SABnzbd QPKG in 1 second (conflicting package installed)

Unfortunately it does not say which package the conflicting one should be….

Any ideas?

Hi Mate!

I tried to update sabnzbd with “sherpa upgrade sabnzbd,” but the process got stuck, and I had to abort. I tried several times and got the same error each time. Afterward, I uninstalled sabnzbd and restarted the NAS. I then tried reinstalling it and got the following error message:

• These package actions completed OK:
reactivate Par2turbo QPKG in 1 second
reactivate Unrar QPKG in 1 second
reactivate Entware QPKG in 1 second

• This package action was skipped (and why):
download SABnzbd QPKG in 1 second (conflicting package installed)

I then tried installing sabnzbd with debug-log, which also failed. However, I uploaded the log file to my Dropbox

Can you please help me reinstall sabnzbd?
Thanks.

Hi mate, what is your NAS model please? I found an issue only a short time ago that affects SABnzbd on non-intel NAS. Please advise.

Hi mate, can you please reset your installation:
sherpa reset

… then try installing SABnzbd again?

sherpa install sab

BTW: I hope you backed-up your SABnzbd config before uninstalling it.

My nas is a ts-251. So it is to definitely Intel based with a Celeron inside…

It sure is. :+1:

Here’s the list of QPKGs that conflict with SABnzbd:

Python3 QPython3 QPython39 QPython310 QPython311 QPython312

Do you have any of these QPKG names installed?

Python3 qpkg is installed…should I delete/uninstall it?

Hi OneCD!

I tried Sherpa reset and then an installation, but without success.

Same error message again:

• These package actions completed OK:
reactivate Par2turbo QPKG in 1 second
reactivate Unrar QPKG in 1 second
reactivate Entware QPKG in 1 second

• This package action was skipped (and why):
download SABnzbd QPKG in 1 second (conflicting package installed)

No, I didn’t back up the SABnzbd configuration, but apart from the server settings, there isn’t much to do. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

My NAS is a TS-253 with an Intel CPU. I also stopped Python3 before the new installation, but it still didn’t work.

@Campino, wrong language this is the English section, not the German one

@dolbyman Sorry, I thought my text would be automatically translated into English. Thanks for translating.

The new AI features of this forum are not clear to me either…

Are you a ‘Die Toten Hosen’ fan or just like the candy ? (regarding your nickname)

Yeah, this type of forum is totally new to me… kind of confusing…

I’ve been a fan of Die Toten Hosen for almost 30 years and I also really liked the name…
