Qtier + Cache? Is it possible?

Hi

My TS-673A have 1TB M.2 SSD X2, 10TB HDD X4 with Raid5 and 4TB HDD X2 With Raid1.

Can I set one of my SSDs to Qtier Mode and the other to Cache Mode?

Never ever use single drives for cache or tier (full data loss on failure), also forget about cache (not working in QTS).

90% of people that hear the buzzword ‘cache’ doe not need cache, what are you doing with your NAS ?

Hi,
I originally used two 1TB M.2 SSDs in a RAID 0 for Cache, which was quite a risky mode. I decided to switch to Qtier mode yesterday. The SSDs took a long time to reclaim data, and I can only imagine how troublesome it would have been if something had gone wrong in Raid0 Cache!
Ultimately, I want to say that I’m now running Qtier with RAID 1, and compared to the previous Caching setup, Qtier has made the entire system much smoother. The improvement is very noticeable.
