QTS 5.2.6.3195 build 20250715 Released

I have a TS-453Be
(same issue / reported by etakpte)
High CPU load when Idle.
After the update, the NAS (even after reboot) frequently showed idle CPU use of 65% frequently jumping to 100%.

I am also using Virtualization station. But to assess regular idle CPU, I shut down all VMs and stopped all non-QNAP apps (Plex). No Change still very high idle CPU use.

Rolled back to: 5.2.5.3145

The new version, 5.2.6.3229, has been released, and it includes a fix for the high CPU usage issue. Please feel free to give it a try!

If you don’t receive the update automatically, it’s due to our deployment rules. You can manually check for updates to get the latest version.

5.2.6.3229 has only been released for the models that had an issue, the others use 5.2.6.3195 ?

The firmware update to my TS-453Be seems (at least so far) to have gone smoothly, and its performance is once again snappy. Thanks!

Yes, that’s correct. If your model is not on the list for version 5.2.6.3229, you can continue to use 5.2.6.3195.

Looks ok so far on TS-253A.

I immediately updated all my NAS’s. 5 are running fine. However, my TVSh-1288x and TVSh-1688x both started locking up after 3 to 14 days. I reverted both a week ago and both have been perfect. Symptoms- first QTS would become unresponsive, then various apps quit working but some continued to work. One of the times the button on the 1688 quit working and I had to kill the power to reboot. Both use the exacta same firmware: tx-x88.

@Franklin, which build did you have trouble with? 3195 or 3229? Which is the stable one on your NAS models please?

  1. I reverted to 3145. I didn’t know about 3229 for these models. Thought the only model I have that it applies to is my TVS-882.
