QVR Client Web Version Development Preview and Feedback Collection

Past terminal support for QVR Client has Windows and macOS desktop versions, and iOS and Android mobile versions. Users face access limits in computer environments without software installation privileges, or on Linux and ChromeOS systems. The development team has an initial plan for a web version.

QVR Client Web Version Status
Users input the URL via a browser and log in to view camera feeds. This removes software installation procedures. Current functions are:

  • Live view
  • Video playback
  • View, camera, and E-map control
  • Timeline operation

The interface layout is similar to the desktop QVR Pro Client. This lowers the learning curve for users.

Feedback Collection
The web version is in the development stage. Community replies determine subsequent development priorities. Please share your thoughts:

  • Which QVR Pro Client functions are mandatory for the web version?
  • What are your expected web version usage scenarios?
  • What are the performance requirements? How many channels do you open simultaneously? Do you need 4K resolution or is fluidity the priority?
  • Other development suggestions for QVR Client.

Of course we want it all; but the question is what is possible and what are the tradoffs such as between 4k and 8 cameras at once.

Hi @Franklin The Web version has the same stream switching function as the Desktop version.

8ch 4K cameras depends on the same factors as the desktop version, your client hardware and browser decoding capability. The web version does not add extra limitations on top o that.

Great news. I can’t wait!

My one request: Don’t eliminate the desktop and mobile versions once you have a web version!

Hi @NA9D browser constraints affect the availability of specific functions on the web client. We will continue to support both the desktop and mobile versions of QVR Client to bypass these limits, don’t worry!

This is a nice upgrade.
