Repair or Replace? My TS-251+ Decision

I assume the temp fix has lasted over a year for you then?

I was just reviewing another thread on this issue and posed a question about what you get if you RMA the 251+ back to QNAP?

NAS QNAP TS-251+ motherboard is faulty.

Hi Dolbyman, I think I have this issue too… Whilst I appreciate this is a temp fix, does anyone know if you RMA your NAS back to QNAP, what fix they apply? Do they give you a new mobo, but with the same issue, or do they give you an updated one, so that the degradation doesn’t occur again? Or do they just apply the 100 Ohms resistor temp fix? Many thanks

If I can get a few more years out of the device with the short term fix, i’ll give it a go too..
