Replacing or migrating the QTS OS Disk to larger HDD

Where can I find the procedure I can follow to replace or migrate the QTS OS Disk to a larger HDD?

The existing setup:
2x RAID 1 - 2TB HDD

Replacement HDD:
2x RAID 1 - 4TB HDD

Thank you in advance.

There is no OS disk, the OS is on all drives.

Capacity upgrade is explained here

Thank you, @dolbyman ,
So I can just insert the new empty larger drive during the online business hours without any downtime ?

That should work, yes

Just make sure your backups are good and current, as this could always go bad (a disk fails during rebuild)

Thanks to dolbyman for the info!

I just want to add a quick clarification to avoid any misunderstanding for other users.
Unlike a typical personal computer, our NAS doesn’t use a separate “OS Disk.” Therefore, users don’t need to distinguish between which drive is the system drive and which is the data drive.
(I hope I haven’t misunderstood your point!)

Thanks!

Wow, that’s great, thank you @SteveKo for the clarification.

So I guess, when any of the RAID disks are replaced or upgraded to bigger capacity, the OS components will then normalise or spread across those disks evenly for redundancy.

Does this mean the 845.60 GB is the area reserved for the QTS OS ?

The reserved space also includes your guaranteed snapshot space you defined

Yes, it does make sense.
