Distribute storage pools across multiple devices

Hello everyone!

At https://docs.qnap.com/operating-system/qts/5.2.x/de-de/speicherpools-7D7AB685.html

it is written that storage pools can consist of drives from the NAS (e.g. TS-233) AND an expansion device (e.g. TR-004) mixed together.

· Drives from connected expansion devices can be mixed with drives installed in the NAS to form a storage pool.

At https://www.qnap.com/de-de/product/tr-004

it is written:

The TR-004 can only be used as a single storage pool or as a single volume on the NAS. Its storage pool/volume cannot be combined on the connected NAS.

So, which information is correct?

Best regards from Reinbek near Hamburg

This only works with the large SAS expansions, not with the small USB or SATA devices.

The TR-00x therefore CANNOT be connected to internal pools.
