system perfomance

I have a periodical problem with NAS Qnap D4 (4 slot disk)

filmware QTS 5.2.6.3195

Recently the nas start sends me an email like this:

Severity: Error
Date/Time: 2025/10/29 11:29:06

App Name: Hardware Status
Category: Overheating
Message: [Hardware Status] Powering off the NAS due to overheating. The NAS temperature 75℃ has exceeded 70℃.

and after that message it keeps working, like nothing happen. our zabbix (monitoring system) says that Qnap temperature just rich critical 75℃ without any reason (i mean without some kind of load or cpu utilization) in a two minutes and get back to normal about 40℃. This case Nas repeat 3-4 times per day. How knows, please tell my the way, how to fix that false alerts

This seems the issue is not genuine thermal runaway, but rather a flawed temperature sensing.

I had a NAS where the fan would run at high speed whenever it was turned on, so I took it to a hardware team for help and it was fixed.

I recommended to open a Support Ticket so that the technical support team can assist you remotely.

Thanks, for advise, Хару0 ! Do you think its possible if Im from Russia ?

We recommend you also try checking the status of the fan rotation, such as whether it stops spinning under certain conditions or if it has accumulated too much dust. Thanks!

Fan speed is stable at ~1600 RPM , after receving alert message fan speed rising up to 3000 RPM for 5 min and then back to normal
