TS-639 RAID5 drive failed

Hi all,

I have a RAID5 issue with my TS-639.

I have 3 WD60EFRX drives configured with RADI5, and another disk as standalone.

Drive 2 have failed and I’ve powered off the NAS, removed the failed drive and replaced it with the standalone drive.

After powering on the NAS, I checked the storage manager and I see drive 1 and 3 as unmounted and drive 2 as ready.

Also, on the storage manager, there is no available options like raid rebuild or any other.

Shouldn’t the RAID5 volume automatically start to rebuild?

Is there anything I can do to rebuild it?

I used AI to help after that, and I manage to access files on my windows machine, although the drives are still in that “unmounted” state.

Thanks in advance,

Rodrigo

Yeah these old (18 years!) CAT1 units are very picky and kick drives out of the RAID if you do NOT swap them hot (always hotswap failed NAS drives!)
