TS-h973AX h5.3.2.3354 weird RAM issue

After upgrading to h5.3.2.3354 on my TS-h973AX which has 64GB ECC RAM, it is now showing an error message:

Insufficient System Memory

Current system memory (63 GB) does not meet the minimum requirement. Ensure at least 8 GB of memory……

The unit is now running very slow, I suspect the system is only running on 8GB as reported and not using the full 64GB. Need advise.

How much RAM is shown in the resource manager ?

Under Hardware Information and Resource Manager, all showing 64GB.

Possibly dumb question, but have you tried rebooting and get the same error?

What brand of memory are you using? You said you upgraded to h5.3.2.3354. What were you running previously? A previous Hero version or QTS?

Hello,

how is the setting for the ARC RAM Usage ?

Storage global settings | QuTS hero h5.3.x

ARC RAM Usage - 70%

Yes, rebooted twice and same notification about not sufficient memory upon logging in… I am using Timetec ECC RAM 2 x 32GB. I was running on h5.2.x version before upgraded to h5.3.2.3354.

Change it to 50 %.

With 70% i have problems with my vm.

With 50% my vm running

I have had issues with Timetec RAM. You should perform a RAM test on the NAS and make sure it doesn’t have issues.

Interesting…. after I changed to 50% and rebooted, the notification error is not showing anymore. Wondering if this is a bug on h5.3.2.3354?

Thanks for the help!

I never saw it running 3354 so is it a bug in general or your particular machine? No idea. Now I am running 3359 and on one NAS have ARC to 70%. But @Becker2020 is right that some usage settings really require setting a lower value for ARC. QNAP even told me that once.

I started with QuTS hero 5.2.5.3138.
With ARC 70% i can’t started a second VM on my TVS-h674 with 64 GB RAM. There was the same error message “Insufficient System Memory”.
I changed the ARC to 50%, now i can started the second VM.
