UI and Resource Monitor QTS 5.2.9.3451, TS-832X

I have been through a phase of “Cannot update configuration, system partition full” situation.
That is basically resoved by now with the help from QNAP.
So far, so good.

Now I have the strange behaviour that the UI is different when logging in locally (same network) or via myQNAP. The latter behaves as expected while local login shows unexpected behaviour with respect to dashboard elements that have been detached from the common dashboard “cluster” (and are expected to automatically appear detached at login) as well as what information is displayed.

  1. The detached dashboard elements appear at login (even if dismissed in a previous session), but do not show the expected information.
  2. The information that is lacking in the detached elements is not shown neither in the “normal” dashboard noir the Resource Monitor
  3. The detached element for disk health cannot be dismissed within a session.
  4. The detached element for system health can be dismissed within a session but reappears in the next session

Would very much appreciate to bring back the UI behaviour to normal.
(The system serves other user(s) in the admin group properly)

Hi @gotburger ,

Thank you for sharing the detailed description of the issue.

We understand that the previous “Cannot update configuration, system partition full” issue has been resolved, but you are now seeing abnormal UI behavior when logging in locally, including differences in dashboard elements and Resource Monitor information compared with login via myQNAP.

To help us better understand the issue, could you please provide screenshots showing the difference between local login and myQNAP login? In particular, it would be helpful to see the dashboard view and the related Resource Monitor screens from both login methods.

For your data security, we recommend avoiding sharing sensitive details publicly on the forum. If needed, you may mask any sensitive information in the screenshots before posting them.

Thank you for your cooperation.

The “system partition full” (kind of) message is back, and there is an ongoing case for that, so the dashboard issue might be of less importance for now (the ongoing case also has the dashboard issue as one part of the problem).

Only one user (basically the only active user) is affected by the dashboard problem.

Find 2 views below (also a different UI layout with more apps shown on myCloud login).

I tend to wait for the feedback on the case before changing too much…

Is this issue still occurring? If so, please open a support ticket and our Support Team will be happy to assist you further. Thanks!

Thanks for checking!

Well, it turned out to be back to normal once the actions in connection with the “system partition full” problem were completed. Was likely a side effect of that problem.
