16 TB NFS Limit

Hi,

I have a QNAP TVS-1282T3 with pretty recent firmware. For some reasons, when I create a volume greater than 16TB and connect to it using NFS 4.1 from VMware ESXi, maximum virtual disk size I can create in a vm is limited to 15.84TB. What am I missing? This is lab environment and I need the big size to do some testing. I already tried remounting NFS in ESXi. Any help is really appreciated!

I am aware of the following articles but why is the NAS still reporting 16TB limit?

Sounds like this is a VMWare issue not a QNAP issue. I connect to volumes larger than 16TB over NFS between my two NAS units all the time. Never been an issue.
