6.6.32-qnap kernel sources

As you guys are continuing to ship broken ipv6 I need to build kernel modules.

Can you upload 6.6.32 now? You’re already a month late.

I’d prefer not having to drag FSF/SFC into this, and the delay that would entail.

Or just fix ipv6 in QuTS,

Hi, regarding IPv6, we’re currently evaluating this internally and it’s planned for a future release. As for the new kernel, we typically roll it out within a month after the official version is launched.

Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Could I bother you to build ip6table_nat.ko in your next update?

I’m fine with being unsupported, I’m fine with having ipv6 disabled and needing to SSH, I’m fine with the current state of ipv6 if your can’t change it right now. (But please fix it)

But I really really really really need ip6table_nat.koor I need kernel sources.

Like I regret trying out the beta even though it’s been smooth and maybe a little faster, because it’s broken so may things for me.

Hi, I’ve noted your strong demand for IPv6. While our product team follows a specific roadmap, I will relay your feedback to them again to see if we can expedite the process.

Regarding your experience with the 6.0 beta, you mentioned that many things are broken—could you please share more details or specific examples of what’s failing? We’d like to understand the situation better so we can help. Thanks!

I almost exclusively use ipv6.

So as shipped I had not network connectivity upon reboot into 6.0. I’ve now had to put a proxy server in front of the NAS to get back ipv6 for containers/VMs. My next thing is trying to use host bridging with a separate vlan on the second network interface and screw around that way.

Again, all I would need in the next few weeks is you guys to make a single adjustment to kernel config and build ip6table_nat.ko. I can work around the rest. You have built in enough ipv6 that I can fix the rest with SSH.

Just give me the kernel module, please.

Curious - why do you use IPV6? In a typical “home” network, the IPV4 address spaces have way more than enough space to cover needs.

CGNAT and external access

Also practice. We are moving to ipv6 at work in the new year.
