Hello everyone!
With AI technology becoming more and more advanced, a growing number of vendors are starting to integrate AI features into NAS devices. Whether it’s smart photo album categorization, automatic file tagging, abnormal behavior detection, or natural language search (like “find last summer’s beach photos”), it feels like there are still so many possibilities for AI + NAS that haven’t been explored yet.
As a long-term NAS user, I’m really curious about everyone’s thoughts—
I’d like to ask a few questions:
-
What do you “most wish” AI could help you with on a NAS? (Organizing files? Automatic backup and categorization? Security monitoring?)
-
Do you have concerns about AI analyzing your private data on your NAS? Are you okay with AI running locally (on-device), but not okay with uploading your data for cloud analysis?
-
Do you prefer AI features to “run fully automatically in the background,” or do you want to “confirm every action before it happens”?
Feel free to share any thoughts, whether they’re hopes or worries—everything is valuable! Let’s discuss the future of AI in NAS together ![]()
