Automatic update not working

Hello.

I have a similar problem.

The NAS only has one network connection to the router. Checking if a new firmware is available for download works. But when you click on Update, a message appears saying that this is not possible and that I should check the network settings.

At the moment, I always do a manual firmware download and installation.

IP settings with DHCP or static make no difference. No virtual switch.

I can connect to the NAS via SSH and successfully execute a ping to 8.8.8.8 or Google or QNAP.

[~] # ping www.qnap.com

My TS-253E has been doing this since I installed it.

Does anyone have an idea about this?

Thanks.

Sorry.

Could you please provide the log messages from the failed or stuck update? Also, could you try pinging download.qnap.com and share the results with us? Thanks!

Hello,

Where can I find the log files? Are they still included in the old log files?

Unfortunately, I’ll only be able to reproduce the error during the next firmware update.

PING download.qnap.com (18.67.13.74): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 18.67.13.74: seq=0 ttl=250 time=13.788 ms
64 bytes from 18.67.13.74: seq=1 ttl=250 time=11.847 ms
64 bytes from 18.67.13.74: seq=2 ttl=250 time=12.144 ms
64 bytes from 18.67.13.74: seq=3 ttl=250 time=12.111 ms
64 bytes from 18.67.13.74: seq=4 ttl=250 time=12.160 ms
^C
— ping statistics —
5 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 11.847/12.410/13.788 ms

Ping works.
