Boot Stuck Quts Hero Volume thin Full

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask for advice on how to resolve the following issue.

The device is using hybrid storage (HDD and SSD).

Model: TS-h1288X

Operating System: QuTS hero

Initially, my customer received a volume full notification, but unfortunately it was ignored. After that, the device suddenly became inaccessible via the web console. The customer then performed a forced reboot.

After restarting, the system got stuck at “Starting system boot”.

At first, I suspected a hardware failure. I removed all drives and confirmed that the system could boot normally. However, when I reinserted the HDDs and selected “Load current system”, the device was still stuck during boot.

I rebooted the device again, removed all HDDs, and installed only the SSDs. Since the SSDs are in a different storage pool, the system was able to boot successfully and I could access the web console while the HDDs were disconnected.

The data stored on the HDDs is very critical.

Is there any solution or recommended recovery procedure for this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Can you insert the HDDs while the system is running ?

Also, citical data should always be backed up, could be an expensive lesson to learn for your customer.
