Hi Dan and welcome to the forum.

All bug reports should be made directly to QNAP by creating a support ticket: QNAP Account Center

your bug report portal is bugged. it doesn’t let me select firmware 4.4.3.710328

it won’t let me create a ticket. it just says “validate fail” with no explanation why.

Not mine, but choose the nearest firmware version after yours, and report that too.

i’d love to create a ticket but the portal won’t let me. it would be nice if it actually gave a reason why “validate fail”.

It might be trying to confirm your device serial number. Try adding it as a ‘My Device’ item, then create the support ticket.

nope. still “validate fail”.

No worries. Try creating a support ticket with “my device does not have a serial number” selected.

exact same error. “validate fail”.

i think we can assume at this point it has nothing to do with the serial number.

Are you attempting to attach any files? If so, don’t do this. Create the ticket first.

no, i’m not attaching any files.

Have you tried another web browser?

@SteveKo is there anything QNAP can do to help @Dan812 create a support ticket? I’m out of ideas.

Hi @Dan812 , thanks for your information. We will check it and reply to you later.

Hi @OneCD

We’ll also check whether there are any issues with the support ticket page. Thanks for the report!

Hi @Dan812

Would you mind opening a support ticket again? We need further information to assist you with this. If the ‘validate fail’ error still appears, please let us know, and we will continue to help you resolve it. Thanks!

The firmware version selection list is still very old and does not let me select the current version.

But the validate fail seems fixed now.

Glad to hear you were able to open the ticket successfully! Our Support Team will follow up with you through the ticket. Regarding the firmware list, I suspect it may be related to the product line — I’ll pass this on to our internal team. Thanks for the suggestion!
