Builtin software from QNAP to backup M365 user data ?

Folks,

I wonder if there is a built-in software by QNAP to backup M365 objects like Exchange Mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams content to the NAS ?

The other NAS vendor has it for free [No licenses are required for Active Backup for Microsoft 365]

The example software name is Active Backup for Microsoft 365

Yes, QNAP offers a solution called Boxafe, which is designed to back up Microsoft 365 data—including Exchange Online (emails, contacts, calendars), OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams—to a QNAP NAS.

Boxafe allows you to back up data for up to 30 Microsoft 365 users free of charge. For environments with more than 30 users, additional licenses can be purchased via the QNAP Software Store or through authorized QNAP channel partners.

Does it mean that if I stay within its limit above, I can use it to backup regardless of the size of the M365 objects to my OnPremise NAS running QTS ?

Yes, that’s correct. As long as you stay within the free license limit of up to 30 Microsoft 365 users, 10 SharePoint sites, and 5 Teams, you can use Boxafe to back up data to your on-premise QNAP NAS running QTS without any additional cost.

There is no restriction on the data size of the Microsoft 365 objects being backed up.
