Good day to all.
I urgently need an answer to the following question:
Can I import a RAID that existed on the same NAS? I will explain better.
I have a NAS TS-332X, which had three HDDs in RAID5. After a long time of using it, I decided to change the QTS OS to 2 SSD SATA m.2 in RAID1, now it is working so without problem, but now I want to import the RAID5 that is still on the 3 HDDs. Is that possible?
I would be very grateful if you could help me with that answer, since I have looked everywhere and can’t get the slightest light.
Best regards.
There is a recover function in storage and snapshots…but be aware that the OS is always on all internal drives. You can have the system volume for your default app installation target on SSD though.
Dolbyman thank you for answering. But I think I have still the question whether it is possible or not. What is that recovery function you talk about, where I put it, how I get it, what’s its name?
Greetings.
It’s on the top right of storage and snapshots…a button that says recover…when I have access to a QNAP GUI I can post a screenshot
Here is the location to recover an old pool/volume
You will have to manually create the shares after (explained in the manual)
Thank you very much for that esteemed data @dolbyman, I owe you one, now you are my best friend, do not know how I have searched for this option, and how long I have been waiting to do that, I managed to recover and see the information I had in that RAID.
Thank you very much, I hope to be able to return in some way this great support that you have given me, brother.
Greetings and blessings to you.
Glad you got it working, here to help
