can not access QNAP TS-230

Good morning, It is been months I have not used my qnap TS-230, And now that I want to use it, it does not want to connect , then I reset it using the pin on the back, but now can not know the password i should use after reset, tried admin and admin and it did not work , any help would be much appreciated. regards

Hi @NABIL The default system administrator password of QNAP NAS depends on QTS version.

QTS 4.4.1 or earlier:

  • admin

QTS 4.4.2 to QTS 5.1.9:

  • The first MAC address of the NAS in uppercase letters and without special characters.

QTS 5.2.0 and later:

  • The Cloud Key of your device in uppercase letters and without any special characters.

Try admin and Admin after a reset. It worked for me recently (last week).

As was mentioned above, admin/admin would only work on firmware older than 4.4.1

You may be correct, but I suggested not admin / admin but
admin / Admin

But, as you say, I may be wrong…
