I have a 4 bay QNAP (TS-464) and I have a single RAID group with a single volume in it. I swapped two of the 4TB drives with 6TB drives - went through the step by step process to replace disks one by one and the RAID group shows the updated capacity but I cannot expand the volume. The button to do so it greyed out. I’ve rebooted the system several times and I’ve even gone through and replaced each disk one by one hoping to trigger whatever is stuck to release but no luck. How do I get my volume to expand in this situation?
Hello,
you can increase the maximum storage capacity of a RAID group only by replacing all member disks.

Raid is limited by the SMALLEST member (drive) in the array.

Thanks @dosborne and @Becker2020 for the clarifications.
