Can't create a NetBak bootable USB drive

I have installed NetBak PC Agent (1.2.6) on 2 Windows 11 machines and neither are able to create the bootable USB drive. It successfully installs the ADK but then doesn’t move to the next step.

Any help/advice.

Thank you!

What size USB drives?

After a few more deep Google searches I saw that a number of folks had to uninstall the ADK completely and then let NetBak do the install again.

I removed ADK (and PE) completely, rebooted and tried NetBak again.

This time it went through the ADK and PE installs and proceeded to create the bootable USB.

Hope this helps anyone seeing the same issue:slight_smile:

Thanks!

I have the same problem with NetBak 1.2.6 on a Windows 10 computer.

  1. I started to make a bootable USB, and the process prompted me to install the ADK, which I did. After it was installed I was interrupted.
  2. A few days later I started to make a bootable USB again. The process prompted me to install the ADK. This time the ADK installer recognized that the ADK was already installed, and offered to let me change the installed options. I cancelled. This brought me back to the prompt to install the ADK.
  3. I added an extra option to the ADK, since the Install button would not activate unless I changed the list of options. After installing the extra option I was sent back to the prompt to instal the ADK.
  4. I uninstalled the ADK, re-started the Make a bootable USB drive process again, and installed the ADK. Back to the prompt to install the ADK.
  5. I uninstalled the ADK, rebooted, re-started the Make a bootable USB drive process again, and installed the ADK. Back to the prompt to install the ADK.
  6. I chose the second ADK option which downloads the install .exe which can be used to install the ADK on another machine. Back to the install ADK prompt.
  7. I wrote this message, but I will continue to search for a solution.

I too am having the same problem creating a boot USB on a Windows 11 PC - USB is formatted 64GB. Any help would be gratefully received!

Tried it again this morning and it worked! Very strange!!
