Confused RAID1 after drive migration

Hi,
I got a TS-264 to replace my dead TS-251 with the aim of simply shifting the old drives (in mirror/RAID1 arrangement) into the new TS-264.
Being a bit “paranoid” (and possibly misguided) I initially only inserted the first drive into the TS-264. It reported migration complete… all good then.I thought!!
Except that on inserting the second drive, it complained of degraded RAID Group, although both hard drives are (individually) in good condition.
On checking further, it seems that the system thinks that a non.existent M.2 SSD slot, is paired with my first hard drive in the RAID1 group (see photo)… whilst the second drive is “free” (see other photo).
What are the correct steps to swap in the correct drive instead of the SSD in the RAID1 please? (whether or not that involves re-mirroring the content to the SSD).

(FWIW… I have already taken the precaution of backing up everything to an external USB drive).

Any advice appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Both should have been swapped at the same time

Open a ticket with QNAP or start your NAS from scratch

Has this device ever used M.2 SSDs before?

Also, regarding the insertion of the second hard drive, did you insert it while the device was powered off and then boot it up, or did you insert the drive directly while the device was running (hot-swapped)? Thanks!

Nope. Never used M.2 SSDs.
Pretty sure I inserted the 2nd drive whilst the device (TS-264) was powered on.
I subsequently rebooted the TS-264.

I have already raised a ticket and have had a response for remote helpdesk access.
