ContainerStation / kubernetes activation scripting

Hello dear community,
can anyone tell me how the version of k3s is initially determined on QNAP when you activate Kubernetes on the QNAP?
It should be possible to use the latest available version that supports cgroups v1 (v1.29 or so?) directly for activation, right?
Can someone tell me where the scripts for this are located so I can look into it?
If they’re in the memory disk for the firmware, I’d also appreciate any hints on how to access it / should access it, thanks in advance.

Moved to the German subforum, please pay attention to the language!

Thank you very much for your suggestion! Could you also describe your use case to help us better understand your requirements?

Hi @SteveKo

Kubernetes 1.21 is just absolutely outdated, and it would be really good if we could simply decide for ourselves which Kubernetes version we want to run or try out on the QNAP.
It gets problematic with newer versions of Kubernetes than 1.29, because support for cgroups v1 was, I believe, discontinued there.

@SteveKo
It would be wonderful if you could provide a selection list showing which Kubernetes versions can be installed for the current kernel that is present in the NAS.
