I have a ts-664. system drive is a raid1 with 2x m2 ssds. drive 1 failed and was no longer being recoginized so i bought a new new ssd and replaced it.
Booted up and the system won’t rebuild the raid. Now says there is a r/w error on drive 2. Without being able to rebuild it in the nas within the qnap, i’m trying to figure out how to recover my system drive.
I haven’t checked the old drive1 to see if its readable, but regardless, should i be able to ddcopy either drive1 or drive2 to another ssd and boot?
Why is everyone assuming i don’t have a backup? The system backup is not 100% and still requires some reconfiguration. I’m trying to avoid that as i built up my configuration while ago and being me, didn’t document what i did very well as there was a lot of trial and error to get it the way i wanted it with as many of the system shares offloaded to other volumes. which was not as simple as it should have been
thanks. i’m not good with linux so once i make the copies i’ll run the commands to see what it comes checks come back with. trying to leave it alone as much as possible until i get the other ssd
