This is just a post reagrding End of Life Support (Firmware/OS updates)
Please check the following link for your NAS. this will tell you if your NAS is EoL or still in support for Firmware Updates etc.

Unit is end of life - having issues installing any other ram than what came with the unit. Even using the same manufacturer ram that cam with teh unit but from 16gb to 32gb will not post
yep there is not any compatible memory except for QNAPs own brand.

There’s plenty of RAM out there that will work and you don’t have to pay QNAP for their ridiculously overpriced RAM. There’s a RAM test you can do in the system BIOS. QNAP tried to tell me my RAM was at fault and asked me to do a RAM test. I did. It passed 100%. So don’t fall for the RAM argument. Maybe it is bad RAM but I would bet it is not.
