Specifically [App Center] Failed to install HybridDesk Station due to data file error.
Just goes around in a loop; Downloading…, Updating…, fails, repeat.
Anyone else seeing the same thing with the latest update?

Have you tried downloading manually and installing? App Center - QNAP | QNAP (US)
Be sure to select your NAS, firmware, etc. on the left side (you did not include any details about your system so I used one of mine). After downloading, go to App Center, click on install (upper right 3rd icon over) and install manually. If that doesn’t work, a ticket.
I hadn’t tried installing manually, just the Update in the App Centre
Following your link I downloaded HD_Station_4.2.18_x86_64_20250430.zip and opened the Manual Install dialog.
It seemed to go well, as it recognised it as an application package and started to install.
However, after the “chunter, chunter” from the drives, it sounded 3 beeps, and now we now have
I cleared that screen and repeated the process, this time manually installing Firefox, just to see if I’m doing it right.
It downloaded and installed, in moments, no problem, so there’s something weird with HD Station update, using either process.
Decision time. IIRC I had this same problem a while back. The NAS it happened on only had 9 jobs so I deleted HBS and reinstalled HBS and that fixed it. It was easy to recreate the 9 jobs since I have a spreadsheet of all HBS jobs. However, one of my NAS’s has 129 jobs-that one would have created a ticket. If you only have a few jobs and you know what they are you can probably six it yourself; otherwise-a ticket.
@Franklin The thread is about HybridDesk Station but not HBS (Hybrid Backup Station).
Sorrry, my bad. I am 70 and my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be.
Not to worry @Franklin, I’m only a year behind you and catching up fast!
Anyway, would you believe, I fired-up the console this evening and HybridDesk Station is now running 4.2.18 and there’s no outstanding updates waiting - so somehow it’s updated.
I can only assume that it was the manual install that worked, despite sitting on that grey Uploading and Processing screen for at least an hour.
Sometimes the gremlins have gremlins…
