I have a TR-004 connected directly as a DAS to my Macbook with the M2 Pro. I can mount the drive just fine, but when I open External RAID Manager, all I get is “No Devices Found”.
It worked fine on my old Intel-based iMac. Any ideas why this is happening now?
I solved it. After days of trying, it was terribly easy.
For some reason, the application had not asked me to give it full disk access, but upon re-launching it for the umpteenth time today, it gave me a notice that I needed to give it full disk access. Upon doing so, the TR-004 popped up.
I have the same issue, and giving FDA to the app didn’t solve it. I’m on an iMac (Intel), running Sonoma 14.8. Because I turn off my computer every night, but don’t power off the DAS, the only thing that works, after I boot up, is to unmount my RAID 5 volume, and power cycle the TR-004; then I can launch the app, and it’ll see the drives. That drives me nuts, especially since I just purchased it. I didn’t expect to experience such an issue right away.
I’m using the latest version of the app (1.3.8.1317), firmware 1.2
I have the same issue, but neither of these solutions worked for me.
Intel MacBook running Sequoia 15.7.8, New TR-004 connected as DAS via USB.
Currently using it simply as an enclosure - it has 3 independent HDs in it, each of which mount fine and are fully functional.
A new install of External RAID Manager (fresh download, v1.3.9.1711) does not find the device.
Was not prompted for, but granted FDA per @Atheoz’s solution. No change.
Tried @WhiteNoize’s solution, even though I’m not using RAID. No luck.
Have tried various sequences of app/TR-004/Mac restarts and disconnection/connection/reconnection, as well as multiple cables - OEM USB-C➛USB A vs Thunderbolt-3 cables - (though that shouldn’t matter since the drives mount fine in macOS?)
