I’ve had QuMagie installed for years now, with no issues.
I got an strange notification today which stated “Message: [App Center] Failed to install QuMagie. The app is invalid.” when I didn’t request for QuMagie to be updated.
Logging into the QNAP and going into App Centre, QuMagie now says it’s not started as there are “Required Updates”. I am unable to start the app.
Clicking “Update” gives me the same error “The app is invalid.” Is this an issue with a certificate on QNAP’s side (invalid signature on the app package), or something that needs fixing on my side? Is there anything I can do without having to remove and blow away the whole QuMagie library and starting again?
I received the same error when I tried to update the app via the app center. If you go to the QNAP download center and download the app and install manually, the app will install.
Regarding the recent issue where QuMagie displayed messages such as “License Required” or “Installation Failed,” the problem has been resolved and the service is now functioning normally. Please rest assured that QuMagie does not require a license.
We recommend reopening the App Center and updating to the latest version.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and will continue to improve the product experience.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
