I woke up this morning to a failed NAS update. Now it doesn’t boot anymore.
Fans are spinning, and so are disks, but it stays invisible. QFinder can’t find it either:
I received update notifications via email during the night:

Then immediately after:
[Error][Firmware Update] Notification from your device: Foundation

I looked up online and my model has no way to connect an external screen, some docs seem to say there’s no firmware recovery available… I also tried resetting using the hardware button, didn’t work.
Based on the error message, we suspect this is a firmware update failure that has led to abnormal DOM access.
Please try the following steps:
Remove all hard drives and reboot the device to see if it can boot up normally.
If it boots successfully, shut it down, reinsert the hard drives, and then reboot again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, or if the device fails to boot successfully in the first step, please open a support ticket for us. Our Support Team will step in to assist you. Thanks!
With a graphics card installed, firmware recovery is possible using the instructions in the attachment → PDF upload not allowed. Please open a support ticket.
