Firewall and subnet issues after upgrade qsync 6.0.0.2522

Client PC subnet got changed from 255.255.255.0 to 255.0.0.0 during upgrade
Also switched Advanced Firewall in Windows 11 Pro to “Public” and reverts after running CMD
”netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state off”

Also disabled IP to Netbios mapping

Hm, did not notice any issue at both PCs when updating to 6.0.0.2522, but I am still running Windows 10.

Also note that this version is marked as “public beta”, so bugs cannot be excluded.

BTW: Even in final releases bugs are available. :winking_face_with_tongue:

Regards

No other computers had this problem

There’s no way anything done on QNAP would affect a client PC unless your QNAP is functioning as the DHCP server.

Is your QNAP the DHCP server? If so, it’s possible that this PC asked for a lease renewal and got back this information from the QNAP. If other PCs don’t need their lease renewed yet, it would not show up. If the QNAP is not the DHCP server, then Qsync had nothing to do with this.

Based on our technical verification, the Qsync Client application, in theory, does not modify your computer’s network configuration or alter any firewall settings.

Thanks!
