[Fixed Issues]
Fixed an issue where Safari users could not see the capacity of a connected external device
in āDesktop > Task Bar > External Deviceā.
Addressed an issue on the TS-877XU where āDesktop > Task Bar > More > Aboutā would display
the wrong device model name if ECC memory modules were installed.
Fixed an issue where for certain expansion unit models, under certain circumstances a healthy
disk on the expansion unit might incorrectly display a āNot Existā status in
āStorage & Snapshots > Storage > External Storage > External Storage Device Managementā.
Resolved an issue for some users where after performing NAS migration under certain conditions,
storage pools from the old NAS would display an āErrorā status on the new NAS.
Fixed an issue where if a shared folderās name contained certain special characters, the system
would fail to record a corresponding log when the shared folder was accessed via Samba.
Fixed an issue for some users where Control Panel could not display domain users in
āPrivilege > Usersā.
Fixed a French translation issue in the Desktop Notice Board.
Fixed an issue where after a firmware update, the system might mistakenly display an event log
warning that the currently installed version of Advanced Network Driver was not supported.
i thought i had a problem with my qnap so i used 3 second reset and now i cant login at all.
Error: your login credentials are incorrect or account is no longer valid.
All the photos and childrenās videos from holidays are on these two QNAPs!
I have two identical TS-653D nas servers, these are almost identical in data. Because I can no longer get to either machine, I have completely reset one by holding the reset button for 10 seconds and after two beeps released. This has been completely reset as I can see in Qfinder, only I still can not access it with āadminā and The Cloud Key Password. So something is terribly wrong with this version, how can I downgrade or fix it via a USB stick?
Since 2007 starting with a QNAP 209 Pro I have had quite a few models at home and always felt warm and safe, I have seen QNAP grow so to speak! Over the years I have encountered quite a few problems because I am always playing with my QNAP here. But this time a very annoying experience was almost a desperate one.
After updating QTS firmware 5.2. 2. 2950 of my first TS-653D of which I always perform a reboot before I update, it turned out to have gone well applications worked and I can just access my drives. What I normally always do, but this one time honestly not is that perform another reboot after this update, it was already late and I thought I will do this tomorrow.
What is this donkey doing, I happily update the next morning without checking, my second TS-653D QNAP and then the misery started!
I could not log in anymore, so I took out the disks, put in a spare hard disk and performed a three second reset. My password had been replaced by the standard password of the cloud key, of which I first thought I had to use the MAC address, but thanks to āHour-Neighborhood311ā I was back on the right track! This also did not work, I could not log in with any web browser. I could access the NAS via Putty and WinSCP, tried to rename the qos_config. No result. Downgrading via the prompt also did not work for me.
I had no choice but to perform a 10 second reset in the hope that I would then be able to log in. That was just an illusion because after this 10 second reset I could not log in at all and even without hard drives I could not see anything at all in Qfinder> Details because it asked for credentials to be able to continue. Fortunately I now have my Key Cloud code, so I did not need this move for that, but lying in one of my four internet browsers was also not successful, not even on another PC.
Long story short. Where was the problem now in the end!
I thought last night at 05:00 I have a deviation in my memory, this is not standard, but I have 16Gb in this machine two memory modules of 8Gb.
So I got out, Memory out, 2x 4Gb original memory installed!
Unfortunately no success, that was not it either.
Then I saw the light!, I had also bought two QNAP QM2-2S10G1TA 2-Slot PCIe Network Expansion Cards M.2 SATA SSDs with 1 x 10GBASE-T-port with the two NAS and they can handle (on paper) 10Gb. Removed these and ??!! <EUREKA) it worked, I could change my password and access my files again, unbelievable that I had not thought of this before!
The fact is that everything is now functional again, and I can sleep peacefully again
