I own a TS-253D that is still running perfectly and in great hardware shape. It is currently on firmware version 5.2.10.3577 (Build 20260731).
With this model approaching its End of Life (EOL) milestone at the end of next year, I have a few questions regarding its lifecycle:

Is QTS 6.x planned for the TS-253D, or will it stay on the QTS 5.2.x branch?

What happens after EOL? Does QNAP typically provide critical security patches for an extended period, or will all firmware updates stop completely?

What is QNAP’s general strategy/roadmap for x86 devices from this generation going forward?
