Since the QNAP posted support of a Hailo-8 M.2 AI acceleration module for QNAP NAS’s. QuMagie settings shows support for this in my TS-673A, however the compatibilty page only shows:
|Coral|G950-06809-01 (G950-06809-01-QNAP)|Type-C|USB 3.2 Gen 1|
|Coral|G650-04686-01 (G650-04686-01-QNAP)|M.2 B+M key (M.2-2280-B-M-S3)|

Users can simply add a Hailo-8 M.2 AI acceleration module to a QNAP surveillance server for boosted AI recognition performance - fulfilling highly-efficient, large-scale smart surveillance with up to 50% lower running costs.
The compatible list means QNAP has formally tested them on specific devices and will take formal tech support on that model, similar to the case that some hard drives can be used on QNAP even if they are not listed in the compatible list.
QuMagie shares the same code on x86 platforms, so by design “blocking in advance” is no good unless it’s technically incompatible. That is why you can see the option. In fact, when you use QVR Human or Face, the option to use Hailo will also appear in its options.
For 673A, it “may” work as well based on the spec of the Gen3 x1 slot with Gen3 x2 card, since PCIe is backward-compatible, it might work but with reduced bandwidth: The x2 will have 2GB/s bandwidth, while x1 has only 1GB/s, the performance of Hailo8 may become limited.
