Hard drive issue using raid 0 configuration

I have 8 bay qnap that using 0 raid configuration. Now my one drive is fail. Is there any option to solve the issue. I want to recover my data using another drive.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Can you please confirm: were you running RAID0 across 8 drives?

Initially we are using only two drive with raid 0 configuration. Time passes we add more drives.

Then it sounds like you were running your NAS with no redundancy. A very risky choice.

Replace the faulty drive and restore the data from your backups.

But you cannot expand RAID0, so you either did pooled single drives or an expandable RAID (5,6)

If you ran RAID5 or 6, you might be able to replace a drive

You need to look in the Storage Manager to see what you have and which drive has died… I agree with dolbyman that you can’t have a RAID-0 with more than two drives if you start with two (unless you nuke the existing data and put it back afterwards)…

You can have more than 2 drives in RAID0, but you can’t add/subtract drives from an established RAID0.
