Hello.
After updating HBS3 from 26.4.4.788 to 26.4.5.115,
all sync jobs using Airgap+ have started to fail.
It seems that the new HBS3 is rejecting the SSL certificate of the QHora router.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue or knows of a workaround?
[Environment]
- NAS: TS-873AeU-RP
- HBS3: 26.4.4.788 → 26.4.5.115
- Router: QHora-321 (used with Airgap+)
- Jobs: Three one-way sync jobs to a remote NAS via Airgap+ (scheduled twice daily)
[Symptoms]
Since the update, every time the scheduled jobs run, I receive the following error: “[Airgap+] The Ethernet port on the router did not link up %V217.”
After that, the sync jobs fail with error code -113 (please see the English section below for the original error messages and log).
In the HBS diagnostic report, there’s a certificate verification error on SSL connection to the QHora: “certificate verify failed: Missing Authority Key Identifier.”
[What I know]
- This error never appeared before the update, and now happens every time after updating.
- The stack trace shows that HBS3’s runtime has changed from Python 3.11 to 3.14.
- From Python 3.13 onward, VERIFY_X509_STRICT is enabled by default, which rejects certificates without an Authority Key Identifier extension. I believe the QHora’s default (self-signed) certificate lacks this extension.
- There are no issues with the NAS network side. The authentication failure seems to prevent the router from opening the Airgap+ port.
[Questions]
- Is this a known issue with HBS3 26.4.5.115? Is there a planned fix?
- Will re-registering the storage space (re-entering QuRouter authentication information) solve the problem?
- Has anyone worked around this by replacing the QHora certificate with one including the AKI, or by downgrading HBS3 to 26.4.4.788? If you downgraded, did your Airgap+ settings remain?
Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you.
