Hallo.
【Umgebung】
・NAS: TS-873AeU-RP
・Router: QHora-321 (wird mit Airgap+ verwendet)
„certificate verify failed: Missing Authority Key Identifier“.
【Was ich herausgefunden habe】
Vielen Dank!
━━━━━━━━━━ English ━━━━━━━━━━
Hi all,
After updating HBS3 from 26.4.4.788 to 26.4.5.115, all of our Airgap+ sync jobs fail. It looks like the new HBS3 version rejects the SSL certificate of the QHora router. Has anyone seen the same issue or found a workaround?
[Environment]
- NAS: TS-873AeU-RP
- HBS3: 26.4.4.788 → 26.4.5.115
- Router: QHora-321 (used for Airgap+)
- Jobs: 3 one-way sync jobs to a remote NAS via Airgap+ (scheduled twice a day)
[Symptoms]
Since the update, every scheduled run fails with:
[Airgap+] Failed to link up Ethernet port of router connected to storage space “Remote NAS 1”. QuRouter authentication failed. Check the settings for connecting to the router.
The sync jobs then fail with:
Failed to connect to the specified Sync Server. Check network settings. Error code: -113
The HBS diagnostic report (server-error.log) shows:
SSLError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host=‘’, port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /miro/api/v2/certificate/info (Caused by SSLError(SSLCertVerificationError(1, ‘[SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed: Missing Authority Key Identifier (_ssl.c:1082)’)))
qnap.hbs3.rra.airgap.error.BadCertificate: connect to QuRouter with bad certificate, please modify storage space and enter QuRouter username & password.
[What I found]
- This error never occurred before the update. It has occurred on every run since the update.
- The stack traces show that HBS3 previously ran on Python 3.11 and now runs on Python 3.14.
- Python 3.13 and later enable VERIFY_X509_STRICT by default. This rejects certificates without the Authority Key Identifier extension. I suspect the default (self-signed) certificate of the QHora is affected.
- The NAS network itself is fine. The NAS adapter is linked up and the routing is correct. Because authentication fails, the router does not open the Airgap+ port.
[Questions]
- Is this a known issue with HBS3 26.4.5.115? Is a fix planned?
- Does re-registering the storage space (re-entering the QuRouter username and password) resolve the issue?
- Has anyone replaced the QHora certificate with one that includes an AKI, or downgraded HBS3 to 26.4.4.788 as a workaround? If you downgraded, were the Airgap+ settings kept?
Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!
