HBS3 backup to Amazon Glacier fails with "vault" message I don't understand

Sorry for cross-posting, but no reply in the “Cloud” section :frowning:

I very occasionally backup one of my QNAP drives (with media) to Amazon Glacier. Having not done so for a couple years, I tried to run the backup job, set to only upload changes. The backup failed instantly with:

Error 2026/05/27 22:26:19 admin 127.0.0.1 localhost [Hybrid Backup Sync] Failed to complete Backup job: “Cloud Backup 2”. The vault name is not available (already exists). Specify another name.

The job references the vault previously used, as I wanted to do an incremental backup (only changed files). The error message is very confusing. What is going on.please?

We will verify whether this issue exists in the latest available version. However, since your device and software versions are quite old, there may be limitations depending on the model or software version. Thanks!
