Help needed: After setting up RAID5 on TS-410, can't access the system. Any advice?

I bought the TS 410 a long time ago. At the time, I used three 2TB drives in RAID 5 to initialize the system. One of the hard drives reported a failure light. After removing it, the red light kept flashing and it still couldn’t boot into the system.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Removing a drive this way is a bad idea to begin with. Install the defective old drive. Does the NAS boot up again?
If so, remove the drive while the system is running and insert a new, empty drive in its place.
If not, contact support.

What does this actually mean? The system doesn’t have any indication of life? The GUI doesn’t come up? The NAS doesn’t get an IP address? You can’t access existing shares?
